This set of handmade wooden counting coins are the perfect addition to any play or learning space.
Each coin is made from solid timber, cut from sustainable Paulownia Wood and is individually sanded on all edges for a beautiful, soft, tactile experience.
The coins are engraved on both sides. One side with the digit and written word, in the standard school font, to establish correct recognition. The other side has corresponding tens dots.
There are endless ways these could be incorporated into play to invite learning opportunities! Or for older children, we also have our maths pack which we will be releasing soon, to turn written maths into a tangible experience.
Each coin is 5cm in diameter and approximately .50 cm thick and come in a calico drawstring bag. As with all of our products, we hope to inspire a connection to nature through play, using sustainable resources.
The coins are handmade in Byron Bay, from locally and ethically sourced, raw natural materials. As such, each is unique and vary slightly in size, colour and position of engraving. This isn’t seen as a defect, but a testament to the beauty and variety found in nature.
NOT suitable for children under 3 years of age. To be used under adult supervision.
